My boyfriend recently nearly became homeless the council couldn’t do anything for him he is now safe back at his mum and dads this Christmas. After these circumstances its definitely opened my eyes to people suffering with homelessness. I don’t have much money myself but doing this good deed for someone this Christmas to have a nice hot Christmas dinner in their bellys will help me sleep better. Hello beautiful people. I wouldn’t know how to write a letter such as this due to homelessness being such a complex and misunderstood problem. If I could give some advice I learned while recovering from addiction I hope it will be of use to you all going into the next year. This advice has been all encompassing on my journey through recovery and I hope it does the same for you all… “Instead of running from your problems, chase your goals.” What this means is instead of thinking about how rough the current situation is and trying to escape it, it is more important to imagine the life you want (which is the life you deserve) and run towards that, because it is much easier to run towards a goal than to run away from a problem. I would also like to say you are all amazing, beautiful, complex beings who deserve love, comfort and happy lives. Please remember that. I hope this time of year brings you joy and peace and judging by the photos on here the roast looks like they are made with love, so I hope the scran brings you some light and happiness too.
